Introduction
Resolve Solutions, LLC ("Resolve," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Resolve mobile application and the website at getresolveai.app (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Our Core Privacy Principles
- We don't read your journal. Your personal reflections, mood entries, and private notes are never reviewed by humans or used for marketing purposes.
- We never sell your data. Your personal information is not a product. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.
- You control sharing. Your emotional and personal content remains private unless you explicitly choose to share it in community spaces.
- Anonymous analytics only. We analyze aggregated, anonymous usage patterns to improve performance. No personal content is reviewed.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, display name, and profile settings when you create an account via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
- User-Generated Content: Journal entries, mood logs, AI chat conversations, community posts, and space interactions — stored securely and kept private by default.
- Communications: Any feedback, support requests, or correspondence you send to us.
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Anonymous analytics about which features you use, session duration, and interaction patterns.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers for compatibility and bug fixes.
- Log Data: IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and timestamps for security and performance monitoring.
c) Information from Third-Party Services
- Authentication Providers: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and profile photo (if available). We do not access your contacts, calendar, or other account data.
- AI Processing: When you use AI features (@Lotus chat, insights, voice chat), your prompts are processed by third-party AI services. These interactions are anonymized and not linked to your identity on those services.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain the Service, including AI-powered coaching, mood tracking, journaling, and community features.
- Personalize your experience — your mood, journal, and activity data help @Lotus deliver more relevant insights and guidance.
- Generate AI-powered Insight cards that help you discover patterns, set goals, and find mindfulness resources.
- Send push notifications you have opted into (mood reminders, journal prompts, community activity).
- Analyze anonymous, aggregated usage data to improve the app's performance, usability, and features.
- Respond to support requests and communicate important updates about the Service.
- Protect the safety and security of our users and the Service.
3. What We Don't Do
- We never sell your personal information to third parties.
- We never read or review your private journal entries, mood notes, or personal reflections for marketing.
- We never share your data with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.
- We never use your personal content for advertising or ad targeting.
- We never make clinical or medical claims — Resolve is a self-help and wellness companion, not a substitute for professional medical advice.
4. AI & Data Processing
Resolve uses third-party AI services to power features such as the @Lotus companion, voice chat, and Insight cards. Here is how your data is handled when you use these features:
Where Your Data Lives
- All user-generated content — including journal entries, mood logs, reflections, chat history, and community posts — is stored securely on our cloud servers using industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest).
- Your data resides on our servers, not on third-party AI provider systems.
How AI Processing Works
- When you use AI-powered features, your device does not send data directly to AI providers. Instead, our servers process your request and securely transmit only the necessary context to third-party AI services on your behalf.
- The context sent to AI providers may include relevant portions of your journal entries, mood history, and conversation history to generate personalized responses.
- These transmissions are anonymized — third-party AI providers cannot identify you personally and do not retain your data for their own training or purposes.
- AI-generated responses are returned to our servers and then delivered to your device.
- All communication between your device, our servers, and AI providers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS encryption.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We work with trusted partners who help us operate the Service (cloud hosting, analytics, AI processing). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and do not use your information for their own purposes.
- Community Features: When you post in Community Spaces or Local Community Spaces, that content is visible to other members. Private Spaces content is only visible to invited members.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Safety: We may share information to protect the rights, property, or safety of Resolve, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: If Resolve is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
6. Data Security
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
- Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
- We implement access controls and authentication measures to protect your account.
- We conduct regular security reviews and monitor for vulnerabilities.
- While we implement strong security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention). Anonymous, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics.
8. Your Rights & Controls
- Access: You can access your personal data through your profile and settings at any time.
- Correction: You can update your account information and profile settings.
- Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account.
- Data Export: You can request a portable copy of your data by contacting support.
- Opt-Out: You can opt out of push notifications, email communications, and community features at any time.
- Profile Visibility: Control whether your profile is public or private in community spaces.
- Searchability: Control whether other users can find you in search.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@getresolveai.app.
10. Legal & Compliance
- GDPR: We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. EU residents have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port their data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
- CCPA: California residents have additional privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data).
- HIPAA: While we implement strong security, Resolve is not a HIPAA-compliant service. The Service is intended for self-help and wellness, not clinical care. Always consult healthcare professionals for medical advice.
11. Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, apps, or services (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
